2023-2024 BOARD GOALS 

Goal 1: The Board of Education will focus on the ongoing implementation of a structured and reliable process to receive systematic feedback on student achievement with a particular focus on sixth through eighth grades. This feedback mechanism will enable the Board to make data-informed decisions, assess the effectiveness of educational initiatives, and ensure continuous improvement in student outcomes.
Goal 2: The Board of Education, in conjunction with the administrative team, will initiate the design and development of the comprehensive 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. This plan will serve as a visionary roadmap, outlining the educational priorities, objectives and initiatives that will guide the district's growth and success over the next five years.
Goal 3: The Board of Education will continue to work to enhance its effectiveness and governance capabilities by pursuing Master Board Certification with a focus on policy development, governance and fostering effective communication. This certification will enable the Board to contribute significantly to the district's overall efficiency and success.
Goal 4: The Board of Education will assess the allocation of additional district wide policies and continue to support resources focused on the well-being, safety and success of our students.

2023-2024 DISTRICT GOALS

Goal 1: Increase opportunities for advancement and enrichment for students in grades 6-8 by expanding middle school advanced placement criteria, instituting a formal middle school course placement appeals process, and by working with staff to provide increased opportunities for enrichment and differentiation within all classes grades pre-k through 8th.
Goal 2: Update classroom based assessments in accordance with review of assessments that began during the 2022-2023 school year.
Goal 3: Increase resources and opportunities to support the health and safety of all students.
Goal 4: Establish a targeted action plan aligned with the Rumson and RFH school districts to develop academic expectations and vision for the next 3-5 years with an emphasis on the subjects of writing and science for Fair Haven in year 1.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Fair Haven School District is to provide a strong academic foundation and to educate, challenge, and inspire students to reach their full potential.
